mr nice guy

just read an interesting article sent by a good friend. 'thought of the day', she says. well, true enough, it got me thinking about my guy friends, our history, our friendship and on how i have been hearing the same ol' story from them but not this one. a different perspective from what they call 'mr nice guy'.

i must say though - he has a point. although i can argue with some of the cases he mentioned, i can also say - 'i hear yah, brotha!' hehe. i've never wanted a 'nice' guy anyway. as i told my good friend, i find that adjective a bit pretentious. i've always wanted someone real. sweet, spontaneous, smart and with a sense of humor. faithful. honest. but not nice. i want someone with a hint of bad ass - just enough for me to be challenged and be treated as equal. i want someone who knows when and how to wear his pants.

i want a man. not a boy, not a nice guy.

so, where are all the single, straight, honest men? :)
